Recipe ingredients


  • Vegetable oil (1 cup)
  • Onion chopped (one)
  • Garlic Paste (1 Tsp)
  • Ginger Paste (1 Tsp)
  • Green chilli chopped (two)
  • Tomato cubes (Two)
  • Mint (1 bunch)
  • Salt (1 Tsp)
  • Cumin Seeds (1 Tsp)
  • Red chilli powder (1 tsp)
  • Coriander Powder (1 tsp)
  • Turmeric Powder (1/2 Tsp)
  • Achari Masala (2 Tsp)
  • Potato cubes (Two)
  • Peas (1 cup)
  • Water (600 Ml)
  • Kasuri Methi (1 tsp)
  • Fresh coriander (1 bunch)

Howe to make Aloo mattar recipe step by step:

Add 1 cup vegeTABLE oil in a clay pot.

Take 1 onion and chop it into small pieces and fry it in oil until golden brown.

Add garlic and ginger paste and mix it well.

Add chopped green chillies and saute for 2 minutes.

Take chopped tomatoes and mint and grind it well in blender then add it in pot.cook it well for 2 minutes.

Add salt, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and achari masala and cook it well for 2 minutes.

Cut potatoes into cubes and add it into clay pot then add peas and cook it well for 3-4 minutes until oil separates. Then add water and simmer for 15-20 with covered lid.

Sprinkle some Kasuri methi and cook for 2 minutes.
